About Alannah

Alannah has joined The Environmental Lawyers in July working part time and will be joining us over the summer as a Summer Law Clerk.

While at law school, Alannah has found ways to engage with different associations to apply her skills and knowledge she has obtained from studying. She is a member of the Environmental Law Students’ Association at the University of Auckland which is a student-led association that utilises environmental law and engages with the community to promote environmental protection and sustainability. Alannah has also done work on behalf of Equal Justice Project, as an Advocacy Climate Change Team Member, she has produced written submissions and presented oral submissions to Eke Panuku Development Auckland board to propose specific recommendations to their climate change policy and reporting. She has also submitted written submissions on behalf of Equal Justice Project to the Climate Change Response (Emission Trading Scheme Agricultural Obligations) Amendment Bill advocating against the removal of the agricultural sector out of the ETS.

Alannah is looking forward to working at TEL to develop her legal skills and explore a pathway in resource management law.
