About Heather
Her previous experience includes appearances before Council hearings panels and the Environment Court, providing strategic advice on consenting and designation processes, navigating and managing involvement in complex plan change processes, and stakeholder engagement. Heather has acted for multinational corporations, government agencies and departments, community organisations, iwi, and infrastructure providers.
Heather joined The Environmental Lawyers in October 2024 from a resource management team specialising in public and private sector projects. Prior to that, Heather worked at a Boutique Environmental Law firm and the Environment Court. Heather grew up in Canada and worked in litigation and environmental policy there before finding her way to New Zealand via London.
Outside the office, Heather is often busy keeping up with her young family. She also enjoys music, fitness, travel and exploring NZ’s beautiful beaches and green spaces.
